Get rid of lice : the effective and simple way

School going kids are mostly affected by lice infection. It's not unusual to see children coming back from school with head lice and as the condition spreads really fast, you can expect your child and nearly everyone in the family to get it if they aren't careful!  lice are adjoined along direct head to head touch on an infested human hair, but may infrequently be also shifted with common combs, lids, pillows and other hair supplements. They could as well stay on bedding material or upholstered furniture for a bit period. Their bits might cause scalp itchiness and inflammation although persistent scratching may conduct to skin discomfort and even infection.

For a few, the annoyance is mild; for other people, a more bothersome skin rash with crusting and exuding may develop. Extravagant itching can as well as conduct to a bacterial infection, thus making the skin to get red and tender about the bite region. Although they can't fly or jump out, the little parasite has acquired especially modified claws that allow it to crawl and stick to the hair. But just as head lice as easy to get; they can be just as easy to get rid of! Almost everyone is familiar with the common methods of removing head lice and here are a few methods that you can combine to get rid of lice.

Lice combs or nit combs have extremely sharp and very tiny spaced teeth. The process of removing the lice eventually gets very painful for children. One easier method is to condition the person's hair with a transparent conditioner and then work the nit comb through the hair. The conditioner maker the hair shafts slippery for the comb as well as the lice that are stuck to the shaft.  They work on a mechanical principle of actually sieving out the lice and their eggs from the hair follicle. The entire process has to be repeated. To be on the safer side, back up all your nit comb efforts with lice shampoo.

There are many medicated shampoos and lotions are available today. These shampoos and lotions are tried and tested treatments for the eradication of lice. But be careful because the lice too can become resistant to your medicated shampoo and your headache (lice) could reappear. If you are using some new products especially on young children then it would be wise to consult your physician because some of the products do contain insecticides which could be harmful.

A natural product that if found to be effective in treating lice is fresh rosemary. You can place  around 3-4 sticks fresh rosemary on the inside of your pillow because rosemary acts as  lice repellent and in a weeks time you will notice that the lice disappear and the nits reduce in number.

Lice are extremely easy to catch and as a preventive measure; just place sprigs of rosemary inside the pillowcase of every family member as lice hate the odor. The lice life cycle repeats every 7-10 days and so you have to ensure that all bedding and clothes are cleaned regularly with hot water and insecticides to kill off all latent eggs in the clothes. Another tip is to remember that lice eggs dissolve in vinegar. A few drops of vinegar in bath water acts like a repellent and dissolves any eggs that are already present in your hair. Keep all purses, handbags, scarves and hair bands soaked in vinegar to kill all the eggs that may be present too.

Head lice are the most annoying to remove. The lice come with the scalp and feed upon human blood. Really, there are a lot of simplistic techniques to annihilate lice infestation.
